Naya Rivera's ex Ryan Dorsey 'can't imagine raising their son without her'

Naya Rivera’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, is struggling to imagine raising their child without her following the Glee star’s tragic death.

The 36-year-old actor is father to four-year-old son, Josey, who he shared with the late actress – who was found dead aged 33-years-old on Monday.

Ryan and Naya were married in 2014 and welcomed their son in September 2015, before splitting and divorcing in 2018.

Now the Ray Donovan actor faces raising Josey without Naya after she was found dead in Lake Puri in Los Padres National Forest and Topatopa Mountains of Ventura County, California this week.

A source close to the actor has shared Ryan’s devastation over the loss of Naya, telling People Magazine: “Ryan has barely slept.

“It’s just a nightmare. Although he wasn’t with Naya, it’s Josey’s mom. Josey needs his mom.

“Ryan can’t imagine raising Josey without Naya. It’s the most devastating situation.”

Naya died in a tragic accident in Lake Puri – with police discovering her body in the water on Monday following a five day search.

Authorities believe the actress pushed her young son onto a boat she hired on the lake while they were out on the water – but then couldn’t pull herself abroad.

Joey is believed to have told police he watched his mother disappear below the water and then not resurface.

Lake Puri – which is a man made reservoir in California – has claimed numerous lives since it was constructed in 1955, with whirlpools, cold temperatures and submerged debris having caused deaths in the past.

Tributes to Naya have been made by former Glee co-stars since the devastating news of her death.

While the co-creators of the show have vowed to pay for the college education of her son.
