What’s Going To Happen
UConn got to have some fun with a win over UMass, and now playtime should be over going against a red-hot Navy team.
The Midshipmen lost to Memphis, and have been close to perfect ever since. The running game leads the nation by a mile – 28 yards per game more than USAF and 63 yards per game more than the No. 3 team, Louisiana – with three straight dominant 380-yard performances to take the attack to a whole other level.
Can UConn come up with any defensive magic at home? Nah.
The Huskies aren’t getting totally destroyed on the ground – at least compared to last year – but they were hit or over 300 yards by Tulane and USF in back-to-back weeks. It’s going to give up three bills again.
However, UConn is strong at controlling the clock – the game should be a bit lower-scoring than expected. Navy will go on long march after long march, with two long pass plays sprinkled in to open it up in the second half.
