Just four starters return on the Crusader defense, and it’s throwing out a slew of new starting linebackers against the Navy ground game.
With the move of Malcolm Perry to quarterback in a full-time role, Navy is putting its most dynamic playmaker in a position to rip apart what should be a good Holy Cross defense – in time.
The Midshipman offensive line needs a little time to get it all together and get the timing right, but expect 300 rushing yards without a problem to go along with a good-enough day from the defense to make this an easy game to get everything in place.
With two weeks off before dealing with East Carolina, Navy needs to get all the new starters as much work as possible. This will get ugly late.
