Navjot Singh Sidhu to surrender in Patiala today

PATIALA: Former Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu will surrender here on Friday, around 10am, following the Supreme Court verdict in a road rage case on Thursday.

Youth Congress joint secretary Sherry Riar, who is said to be close to Sidhu, said: “Navjot Sidhu would surrender around 10am on Friday and a message has been sent to all of us.

We would accompany him but are also waiting for the next line of action and command by the party senior leaders. ”

Meanwhile, Sidhu’s wife reached Patiala late Thursday night, as he was here to hold a protest against inflation earlier in the day.

Congress leaders Kaka Rajinder Singh and Hardial Kamboj, who accompanied Sidhu during the protest, also met him at his residence after the court verdict.
