A naughty puppy found himself in hospital after swallowing his owner's engagement ring.
Labrador puppy Brodie, from West Lothian, took a shine to the pricey ring and wasn't quite old enough to realise it wasn't for dinner.
He was taken to Ayrton Veterinary Hospital in Whitburn to have it removed.
Edinburgh Live reports the pup was given an injection to bring up his breakfast but vets quickly discovered he looked guilty for a reason.
Ayrton Veterinary Hospital posted on Facebook: "Here's a story with a certain ring to it....
"Naughty Labrador puppy Brodie paid us a visit recently after eating his owner's engagement ring!!
"Vet Laura gave him an injection to make him sick and he brought up his breakfast, a 5p coin and the ring! Here he is looking a little guilty."
