Dinosaurs will be brought back to life in a new three dimensional photography exhibition.
German photographer Christian Voigt has captured hyper-realistic portraits of dinosaur skeletons in a new series Evolution, which will go on display at Mayfair’s Bel-Air Fine Art gallery.
The photographer shot fossils from the Natural History Museum in London as well as those in Berlin and Frankfurt, including a tyrannosaurus rex, a stegosaurus and a triceratops.
Voigt is the first to be granted such access. While they look like they have been taken in a studio, the fossils were not touched or moved. He used only natural light and a black backdrop to take the images.
He said that he wanted to separate out the different dinosaurs, which often appear in museums as a group and can be overwhelming to look at together.
Evolution will run at Bel-Air Fine Art New Bond Street from September 25-October 20, belairfineart.com
