A member nation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has warned that the war between Russia and Ukraine is slowly making it's way closer to the borders of their nation.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski announced that Russian military forces allegedly targeted a factory owned by Poland but located in the central Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia, deliberately injuring several and inflicting severe burns onto two victims.

The factory was owned and operated by major Polish wood flooring manufacturer, Barlinek. The company's headquarters are in Poland and it has operated in Ukraine for years, employing many in the area.

Sikorski reported that the strike came from three different directions, posting details of the attack to social media.

"Russian drones struck the Barlinek Group factory in Vinnytsia. The plant manager told me just now that it was deliberate, from three directions. There are injuries, including two people severely burned," Sikorski wrote in Polish. "Ukrainian services are responding, as is our consulate. Putin's criminal war is getting closer to our borders."

The city of Vinnytsia was struck by a huge Russian drone strike overnight on Wednesday, injuring at least 8 people. Furthermore, the strikes damaged four residential buildings and industrial facilities.

According to the regional military administration, Vinnytsia's regional air defenses were able to shoot down 18 of the 28 drones that targeted the city.
