Native Hawaiians block construction of telescope on Mauna Kea

Native Hawaiians call this dormant volcano Mauna Kea, and many consider it sacred.

Only high-ranking chiefs and priests are allowed to climb it.

Now, Native Hawaiian protesters are blocking the construction of a billion-dollar telescope on this sacred land.

But the state's governor has signed an emergency proclamation granting police the power to clear the site.
