Nations League semi final 2019: The best outdoor screenings and pubs to watch the Netherlands vs England in London

The domestic season may be over for another year after Liverpool’s victory in the Champions League final, but there's still plenty of football to enjoy over the coming weeks.

The Women’s World Cup starts on Friday June 7, and more European Championship qualifiers also kicking off shortly. First up, though, is the semi-final of the Nations League, which sees England take on the Netherlands at 7.45pm on Thursday June 6.

England have played some of their best football under manager Gareth Southgate so far at the tournament, enjoying impressive wins against both Spain and Croatia.

Southgate’s men go into the game as favourites to progress to the final on Sunday June 9, although the Netherlands also racked up victories against Germany and France earlier in the competition.

Ronald Koeman’s Dutch side are blessed with some of the brightest young stars in world football, including Matthijs De Ligt and Frenkie De Jong, and England will need to be on top of their game to beat them.

There are plenty of places showing the game in London – including a number of outdoor venues screening the match and making the most of the summer weather. Our picks are below.

Boxpark hosted some of the most memorable screenings of England games at the World Cup last summer, and this year’s Nations League semi-final promises to be no different. The Croydon, Shoreditch and Wembley sites are all showing the game on Wednesday night, and fans can rest assured there’ll be more beer-slinging scenes if England manage to win and make it to the final.
