UEFA Nations League finals fixtures confirmed ahead of tournament in Italy

Next year's Nations League finals with see Italy face Spain and Belgium take on France.

The draw for the semi-finals of the competition was made on Thursday, with four of European football's heavywights going head-to-head next year after they won their groups in section A of the Nations League.

The matches will be played in Italy - who were the first nation to confirm qualification for the finals - between October 6-10 next year, with the San Siro in Milan hosting two matches and the Juventus Stadium the venue for two more.

Portugal were the inaugural winners of the Nations League when they lifted the trophy as hosts in the summer of 2019.

A solitary goal from Goncalo Guedes was enough to beat the Netherlands in the final, with Switzerland and England losing out in the semis.

There will be four entirely different sides in the tournament this time, with Italy hoping to repeat Portugal's success as host winners.

Roberto Mancini's side will open the tournament against Luis Enrique's Spain on October 6 at the newly-revamped San Siro, followed by Belgium against France at the Juventus Stadium in Turin a day later.

The losers of both of those matches will meet in Turin for the third-place playoff on October 10, followed by the final at the San Siro later that same day.
