Nations at ASEAN's East Asia Summit express concern over North Korea missile tests, trade

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Foreign ministers attending the East Asia Summit of the ASEAN regional grouping have expressed concern about North Korea's missile tests, saying they have a "negative impact" on peace efforts, a senior Thai official said on Friday.

The 18-member bloc, meeting in the Thai capital of Bangkok, also expressed concern at recent developments on trade, particularly between the United States and China, and Japan and South Korea, said foreign ministry official Arthayudh Srisamoot.

The East Asia summit of 10 Southeast Asian countries and key partners, such as China, Japan, Russia, South Korea and the United States, held an annual ministerial conference.
