Nationals fans made hilarious DIY edits to their Bryce Harper jerseys

Up until this season, Bryce Harper had spent his entire career with the Washington Nationals. He’s been baseball’s most marketable player for seven years. That means a ton of Nationals fans dished out money for now-dated Harper Nats jerseys.

But rather than spend another $120 for a dude’s jersey who could just leave D.C. in a few years, some Nationals fans turned their already-purchased Harper jerseys into DIY projects.

Ahead of Opening Day at Nationals Park, many took notice to the creative edits being made to the Harper jerseys. Some went as far as to tear Harper’s name off the jersey. Others used tape. They’ll handling this well in D.C., clearly.

“He who must not be named.” There’s your winner.

Harper is back to be MLB’s best-selling jersey, but with the 13-year contract, it’s doubtful Phillies fans will have any reason to destroy their new Harper jerseys.

So, there’s that.
