Former RTE news presenter and LGBTQ+ ally Anne Doyle has joined the Poz Vibe Podcast for its second season.
Sponsored by Dublin Pride and hosted by Dublin drag legend Veda Lady and HIV activist Robbie Lawlor, Poz Vibes Podcast aims to share stories of people living with HIV, their friends, family and allies. In each episode, guests talk about their personal experiences of living with HIV.
Anne will join the podcast as the hosts' continuity announcer and will feature in all episodes.
Podcast host Veda Lady, AKA Enda McGrattan, said: "She’s a VIP and we’re HIVIPs so it’s a perfect match.
"Myself and Robbie are delighted to have Anne ‘The Voice’ Doyle on board. She’s been such an ally to the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland over the years and we are beyond lucky to have her joining the Poz Vibe Podcast family."
Poz Vibes Podcast was initially launched in May 2021 and previous guests have included Scissor Sisters’ Ana Matronic, RuPaul’s Drag Race star Peppermint and Queen of Ireland, Panti Bliss.
The lineup for the podcast's second season includes RuPaul’s Drag Race star Ongina, who revealed they were HIV-positive on the first season of the hit show.
Veda's co-host Robbie revealed: "We want to destigmatise what having a HIV-positive status means, and sharing the experiences of others is a powerful way to help achieve this. Storytelling can help build the confidence of those who live with the virus, and it also creates a wider, supportive HIV community."
He adds: "There is no other podcast in Ireland like ours and we’re proud to have created a safe space for our HIV friends and allies. I think one of its strengths is that we blend fun and facts in every episode."
