MUMBAI: The National Tote, a common platform for betting launched by the Turf Authorities of India (TAI) last month, will now start on August 28 instead of August 1 as announced earlier.
"We are still testing it and that's why the delay," K Uday Eswaran, chairman of the Bangalore Turf Club informed TOI on Sunday.
"We will start now from the Hyderabad races scheduled to be held on August 28," he added.
The National Tote is likely to provide a big boost to the racing industry and it is going to be beneficial for the punters as all the money placed by them at the different racing club's betting portals will be combined in the National Tote to show approximate dividends in real-time and the dividends will be paid accordingly.
