National Lottery say lucky Kerry winner of €9.7m jackpot has made contact

Lotto bosses revealed on Thursday that the lucky Kerry winner of last Saturday's jawdropping jackpot of €9.7million has made contact.

A National Lottery spokesperson announced: "We can confirm that we have been contacted this afternoon by the lucky ticketholder and arrangements are currently being made for the claim to be made once restrictions are lifted due to the on-going public health emergency.”

The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold on the day of the draw (April 18) at Daly’s Supervalu store in Killarney, Co. Kerry.

Meanwhile, online players in Dublin are urged to check their emails after two players from the capital bagged the Lotto Plus 2 top prize of €250,000 and the Lotto Match 5 + Bonus prize of €37,258 in Wednesday’s draw.

The numbers for the main draw were: 14, 24, 25, 26, 29, 40 and bonus number was 8.

While the Plus 2 winning numbers were: 3, 10, 17, 18, 19, 23 and bonus number 30.

A National Lottery spokesperson advised that the winners will have already been notified by email and said: “These two lucky winners from last night’s Lotto draw have already been alerted that they have won their respective prizes of €250,000 and €37,258 and what a nice email to receive!

"So we are appealing to all of our online players who live in Dublin to check their emails to see if they are the lucky winners.”
