The National Lottery have urged people in Kildare to check their EuroMillions tickets after one lucky punter won €193,278 in Tuesday evening's draw.
The player, who bought their ticket online, matched five numbers and one lucky star to win the huge prize.
However, they were just one number away from winning the overall jackpot - a whopping €72,123,753
The winning ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at www.lottery.ie.
The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification to the user’s online account and a separate email has now been sent to the lucky Kildare ticket holder who is encouraged to get in touch to begin the process of claiming their prize.
The winning numbers for last night’s (Tuesday 3rd August) EuroMillions draw were: 17, 21, 23, 45, 46 and lucky stars 07, 11.
As there was no winner of last night’s life-changing €72,123,753 jackpot, Friday night’s EuroMillions jackpot will now roll to an estimated €85 million.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Last night, an online player in Kildare became the biggest winner of the night after matching five numbers and one lucky star to win €193,278.
"We are urging all of our online players in Kildare to check their accounts carefully today as one lucky player has a ticket worth €193,278.
"The winner is advised to contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.”
Already this year, we've seen the EuroMillions Plus prize won on multiple occasions, with another few lucky members of the public winning the National Lotto domestically too.
