A million National Lottery players are in for a fiver as a shake-up will mean those matching two numbers get a payout for the first time.
Changes from November 7 mean if there is no jackpot winner jackpot winner on a Must Be Won draw day, two numbers will bag £5 and a lucky dip for the next draw.
Currently, two numbers qualify for a lucky dip. Operator Camelot also revealed special “must win draws” next month.
One will have £20 million up for grabs in a Lotto pot followed by two EuroMillions jackpots - one for £100million and one to create 20 guaranteed millionaires.
The revamp could boost EuroMillions sales by 80 per cent and Lotto by 30 per cent, Camelot said.
