National Lottery makes appeal as player in Ireland scoops huge prize in Saturday's Lotto draw

A punter in Ireland has bagged more than €200,000 following Saturday's Lotto draw.

The Lotto chiefs have appealed to players in Co Meath to check their tickets after the huge prize was scooped.

The lucky winner bought their Quick Pick ticket at the Applegreen Service Station in Gormanstown.

A National Lottery spokesman said: "With more than 109,000 Lotto players winning prizes on last night’s draw alone, one of these was just one number short of winning the €5 million jackpot.

"However, this person has won a hefty Match 5 and bonus prize of €204,038 so we are asking players in Gormanstown and surrounding Meath and North Dublin areas to check those tickets very carefully.

"If you are this lucky ticketholder, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and please contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email  claims@lottery.ie  and we will make arrangements to get your prize."

There was no winner of the €5million jackpot, meaning it will roll to an estimated €5.5million for the next draw on Wednesday.

The winning numbers from Saturday’s Lotto draw are 11, 22, 27, 28, 34, 36 and the bonus number is 45.
