National Lottery bosses reveal shops in Dublin and Cork sold €500,000 EuroMillions winning tickets

Shops in Dublin and Cork are celebrating after selling EuroMillions Plus winning tickets.

Two lucky punters are €500,000 richer after hitting the jackpot in Friday's Plus draw.

And National Lottery bosses are now urging players to check their tickets.

One ticket was bought in Buckley’s Kiosk in Merchants Quay shopping center on Patrick’s Street in Cork City.

While the second ticket was purchased at the Centra Store in Harolds Cross in Dublin.

A Lotto spokesman said: "Last night’s EuroMillions draws produced an incredible 75,000 winners in Ireland so we are encouraging every single player to check their tickets, regardless of where they bought them.

"It has been a very lucky week for our EuroMillions players in Ireland with no less than four separate winners of the Plus top prize of €500,000 in the last two draws.

"If you are one of the lucky big winners in Friday night’s draws, we advise you to sign the back of the ticket, put it in a safe place and contact our prize claims team on 01 836 4444, and we will make arrangements for you to come to the National Lottery to collect your prize."
