National law firm Simpson Millar moves Liverpool office to Albert Dock after rescuing EAD Solicitors from administration

National law firm Simpson Millar has moved its Liverpool base to new offices in the city's iconic Royal Albert Dock.

Simpson Millar said the move into the Edward Pavilion building is "reflective of the firm’s ambitions to raise its profile within Liverpool and across the North West", and it's hoped to provide a base from which it can strengthen existing partnerships, and help to establish new networks in the region.

The move comes after Simpson Millar, whose headquarters are in Leeds, established a presence in Liverpool by rescuing EAD Solicitors and its 70 staff out of administration in September 2018.

Ian Cohen, who is based in Liverpool, said: “This move to modern and centralised offices in the city’s beautiful and iconic Docks location forms part of our ongoing commitment to providing open, high quality legal services, delivered in an efficient and innovative way to clients across the region.

“The Albert Dock boasts great local amenities, as well as excellent proximity to major transport links which will improve accessibility for staff and clients alike."

Simpson Millar is a national consumer law firm delivering personal injury and private client legal services including conveyancing, wills, trusts and probate.

Mr Cohen added: “We are proud to be embracing a forward-thinking approach to both how and where we work – adopting a modern and flexible business structure that ensures we are best placed to respond to changes within the legal arena; opening up the law to clients as well as the evolving needs and expectations of our colleagues.

“As part of this we have invested heavily in our technology that will enable staff to operate remotely, which forms part of our ongoing commitment to promoting wellbeing and flexible working across the firm.”
