A lucky Airdrie resident scooped a “life-changing” top prize of £50,000 at Buzz Bingo in Coatbridge – completing a hat-trick of national game winners at the Lanarkshire club since it reopened in May.
The anonymous winner first joined the club at Faraday retail park in recent months but has since become a regular; and after calling “house” in the prize game earlier this month, plans to put her winnings towards a new TV and a family holiday to Alicante.
General manager Gordon Barr said: “We couldn’t be happier for our lucky winner and their fantastic win. Everyone was cheering from their seats – it was such an exciting moment.”
It follows the success of two more players at Buzz in Coatbridge who each won the same big-money prizes just three weeks apart in June.
Their wins meant that the Lanarkshire club picked up two of the first nine jackpots paid out after branches across the country were able to welcome back customers following lockdown.
Buzz chief retail officer Peter Brigden said of the latest win: “The atmosphere in club when there’s a big win is always incredible.
“We’re delighted to see a national game winner scoop £50,000 at Buzz in Coatbridge; it’s great to celebrate a win and have the rest of the bingo community celebrate that too.”
