National Gallery of Modern Art reopens with sculpture trail and pop-up cafe

The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art is welcoming back visitors from today with a new sculpture trail and pop-up cafe.

Art lovers and families will be able to explore the stunning trails on the grounds of the gallery while enjoying food and drink.

The indoor buildings and exhibitions will not reopen until August.

The grounds and car park will be open from 9.45am-5.30pm daily and toilets and a Changing Places facility are both available at Modern One, from 10-5pm.

Visitors can enjoy from today are newly-developed sculpture trail, beginning at Modern One which are sited along the picturesque Water of Leith.

Other highlights from the trail include the stunning Landform (2001) by the late Charles Jencks, with its undulating hills and calming lake.

The gallery has been given a ‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation by the government which recognises that they have put safe social distancing measures in place.
