Today - Thursday, August 21 - is National Burger Day and that means some of London’s biggest and best restaurants are offering super deals on one of the nation’s favourite foods.
Whether you like your patty doubled up, smashed or fried - there is something for everyone.

For one day and one day only, the chain is bringing back a classic favourite from the archives.
Named The Black Palace, it is said to be “inspired by the burgers sold in parks, fairgrounds & football stands since time immemorial”, say MeatLiquor.
They added in a post online: “Smoke in the air, sweeeeeet smell of fried 🧅 drifting across the crowd. That first bite before the whistle blows 🤤 We’ve taken that memory, upped the quality & done it MEATliquor style - Two Smashed Beef Patties (ex-dairy herd) w/ Caramelised 🧅, 🇺🇸 🧀 on a bed of Pickles, Ketchup & Mustard in a Sesame Seeded Bun.”
Honest Burgers
Honest Burgers are taking on National Burger Day and turning it into a five day extravaganza.
Starting today (Thursday) and finishing Monday August 25, you can nab 20 per cent off any yummy burger to celebrate.
There are more than 30 branches around London, so you’re never too far away from one of Honest Burger’s stores and for extra celebrations, 1,000 lucky customers will be able to nab one for free this National Burger Day.
The lucky winner needs to be signed up to their loyalty app, and will then receive an email on the day.
Bleecker Burger
This chain has a number of venues in the capital from Westfield, Battersea, Soho, London Bridge and Canary Wharf to name a few.
And it also is getting involved in celebrations, serving a fiery special named the Jalapeño Monster.
The burger is made of a beef patty, Swiss cheese, onions and extra house sauce alongside jalapeño slices.

Shake Shack

Shake Shake is doing a buy one get one free offer for every burger on its menu for today only.

Black Bear Burger
Home of the Burger of the Year for 2025, the burger hub has made this special offering to celebrate National Burger Day.
Their French-themed treat features 40-day aged beef, smoked bacon and onions which is then topped rich, herby and buttery Cafe de Paris sauce like the steak served at the viral west London restaurant.
