National bar chain Revolution to return to city after eight-year absence

A national bar chain is to return to a North West city for the first time since 2014 after a £1.5m investment created 50 jobs.

Revolution is to open a 600-capacity venue on the junction of Fishergate and Friargate in Preston city centre in the coming weeks.

The move comes after the company closed its original site in Main Sprit Weind, off Church Street, eight years ago.

Tom Dolby, general manager of the new Revolution Preston site, said: "We’re so excited to be back in Preston and can’t wait to throw open the doors and welcome in guests to our brand new venue.

"We’ve got all your favourite Revolution cocktails and vodkas on offer, a menu of award-winning, flavoursome food and some great events and parties in the pipeline."

Revolution currently has three sites in Manchester, two in Liverpool and one in Chester.

An exact opening date has not yet been confirmed by Revolution.
