Violence broke out in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday, October 3. Eight people have died so far, including four farmers, two BJP workers, the driver of one of the vehicles, and a journalist covering the protest. Around 4 pm that day, a convoy of three vehicles, which included one alleged to have been driven by the son of union minister for state for home affairs, Ajay Kumar Mishra, rammed into a crowd of protesting farmers.
As some TV channels struggled to dedicate enough time, space, and questions on the violence, especially since Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son was caught in a drug scandal, some impactful cartoons captured the mood.
Here are some of them.
