Nation’s No. 1 wide receiver includes Georgia in top-six

Though he was a one-time commit, Georgia ended up missing out on the nation’s No. 1 ranked wide receiver Jadon Haselwood in the most recent recruiting cycle. The Dawgs rebounded well and recovered with signing two five-star receivers in Dominick Blaylock and George Pickens, helping to secure the No. 2 class in all of college football.

Now, it looks like Georgia has a chance to try again at reeling in the country’s top wide receiver, as five-star Julian Fleming (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia High School) has announced UGA’s made his top-six schools.

At 6-foot-3, Fleming ranks as the nation’s fifth overall player, top wide receiver and best player in his state of Pennsylvania.

“I would like to thank every coaching staff that has given me an opportunity to play at the next level, and also thank them for the tips and guidance they have provided me to this point,” Fleming tweeted. “With that being said I have narrowed down my future home to one of six schools, and am only focusing on these six schools.

Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon, Penn State”

Georgia originally offered on January 27, 2018 and is one of the 30 schools that Fleming holds an offer from. He visited Georgia last spring. Expect him to make a return to Athens this spring.

Fleming’s stats:

Freshman season: 36 catches, 956 yards, 13 touchdowns

Sophomore season: 69 catches, 1,462 yards, touchdowns

Junior season: 44 catches, 777 yards, 10 touchdowns
