Nathan Massey says Love Island series two was like a 'swingers convention'

Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Higgins looked like they became the first couple to have sex on Love Island last night.

But their under the covers romp was nothing compared to the X-rated second series of the ITV2 show, according to Nathan Massey.

The Essex boy, who won the season with his now fiancée Cara De La Hoyde, compared the 2016 run to a "swingers convention".

He took to Instagram to share a post about last night's episode, which read: People being surprised Tommy and Molly are having sex on TV ha you clear never saw season 2, that s*** was WILD."

Nathan agreed, writing: "Amen to that! It was like a swingers convention when the sun set."

The series was the year Emma-Jane Woodham and Terry Walsh had sex over the covers because they wrongfully thought it wouldn't be shown on TV.

Terry also slept with Malin Andersson - in broad daylight with the lights on as the other Islanders watched.

It was also the year that Zara Holland lost her Miss Great Britain crown after getting intimate with Alex Bowen in the hideaway.

And Alex's now wife Olivia Buckland secretly slept with Rykard Jenkins while the other Islanders slept around them.

After meeting in the series Nathan and Cara went on to have son Fred, 17-months, and are now planning their wedding.

Love Island: Tommy and Molly-Mae get frisky under the sheets

It seemed Molly-Mae and Tommy were the first to do the deed this year, but it's emerged that they didn't go all the way.

In steamy footage from Thursday's episode, they looked like they were getting very racy under the covers, with Tommy spooning Molly from behind and breathing very heavily as they gyrated.

Molly could be heard whispering "Jesus Christ!," as Tommy kissed her on the cheek and continued to fumble.

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm tonight
