Nathan Evans shares post-TRNSMT video telling fans he's off to bed after 'class few days'

Sea shanty singer Nathan Evans has been going from success to success, as he kicked off TRNSMT on Saturday as he opened the main stage of the festival.

The star recently returned from touring in Europe, visiting the likes of Germany and Switzerland, before making his first big gig debut in Scotland.

He told fans: "TRNSMT, wit a class few days it's been fucking eventful but I'm going to my bed.

"Just before I go to sleep but I want to say a massive thank you to everybody sending me messages and just all the love you guys have shown me it's so overwhelming honestly.

"It's been an incredible two days but sending me videos of my performance and sending me messages, thank you so much.

"If I don't get back to you, literally if you have sent me a message from yesterday or today I have 100% read it and I just want to thank you so so so much."

The Wellerman singer told the Record at Glasgow Green: "Being first on this morning it was amazing.

"Getting to play in front of all my friends and my family who are here is brilliant so personally for me it was one of biggest things."

Evans has become a global sensation over the course of the last year after going viral on TikTok singing sea shanties.

The star is set to bring out a book of his sea shanties next month.
