Nathan Carter talks Love Island, his favourite place to escape to in NI and his interesting 'toe talent'

Country music star Nathan Carter has pretty much spent the majority of his adult life living and working in Northern Ireland, so it's hard not to think of him as one of our own.

The Liverpool-born singer is synonymous with the Irish country music scene and has lived in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, for more than eight years and now happily considers it 'home'.

He's played some of the biggest arenas in the country but outside of performing to thousands what does the 30-year-old like to do in his down time?

We put the Wagon Wheel singer under the Be spotlight to delve a little deeper and we found some fun facts, including a hidden talent, involving his toes!

What is your fondest memory to date living in Northern Ireland?

Playing my own show at the SSE Arena Belfast.

Where is your favourite place in NI to escape from it all?

I love living in Fermanagh and nothing gets better than taking the boat out on Lough Erne.

Is there any other career path you wanted to pursue when you were younger?

I’d tried joinery for a while and wished I had of learnt a bit more.

If you had to choose one, what reality TV programme would you appear on and why?

Love island although I would need to get in the gym a lot more... why because of all the good looking people.

I can click all my toes!
