Nathan Carter stepping in to replace Hugo Duncan on BBC Radio Ulster show

Country music star Nathan Carter is stepping into the shoes of presenter Hugo Duncan next week as he takes over his radio show on BBC.

Whilst Uncle Hugo as he's affectionately know takes a week-long break, Nathan will be in the hot seat on Radio Ulster from Monday to Friday from 1.30-3pm taking listeners’ requests and dedications and playing the top country tunes.

Chatting on air with Hugo on Thursday, Nathan said: “I am really looking forward to presenting the show for a week for Hugo and to hearing from everyone out there.

"Hugo has been giving me plenty of help and advice.  So please be sure to tune in and get in touch with us during the week.”

Hugo added: “I am leaving the programme in the good hands of Nathan next week, but I have reminded him to listen to ‘the Wee Woman with the big stick’ and to keep my seat warm for me, as I will be back on air on May 3.”

The Hugo Duncan Show is also available on BBC Sounds.
