Bournemouth will be without former Chelsea defender Nathan Ake for the clash with the Blues at Stamford Bridge, after Eddie Howe confirmed the extent of his hamstring problem.
The Dutchman was forced off with a hamstring injury in Bournemouth's 3-0 defeat against Liverpool last weekend, with fears that he could be out for a long period of time.
And Bournemouth's boss has provided the latest on his injury ahead of the game in west London tomorrow (Saturday), with Ake set to miss up to six weeks.
"It was relatively good news with Nathan Ake's hamstring scan," he said, speaking at his pre-match press conference.
"We're looking at six weeks, but he could be back sooner than that."
Ake is one of several injury problems for the Cherries ahead of the game, with long-term absentees Charlie Daniels, David Brooks and Junior Stanislas recently joined on the sidelines by defenders Adam Smith, Steve Cook and Lloyd Kelly.
In addition, forwards Joshua King and Callum Wilson have injury problems, although Howe is hopeful that King may be able to feature at Stamford Bridge, as he provided an update on both players.
"Josh has got a chance for the weekend," Howe said.
"We're in a difficult moment with the injury list, there's no denying that, but we'll put out the best side we can.
"It's not a serious injury with Callum, he just felt his hamstring.
"We're hopeful he'll be back soon."
