Nate Diaz offers reminder about his fight game contributions to start 2020

As the hype begins to reach fever-pitch levels less than two weeks out from UFC 246, which features the return of Conor McGregor, one of his chief rivals, Nate Diaz, had something to say.

The first quarter of the UFC’s 2020 schedule has some big fights attached, starting with McGregor’s anticipated return to action against Donald Cerrone in the Jan. 18 headliner, which takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

What should be a massive event for the company carries over momentum from a strong end to 2019, much of which was buoyed by Diaz’s (20-12 MMA, 15-10 UFC) fights at UFC 241 in August and UFC 244 in November. For that, the Stockton slugger wants a little more credit (via Twitter):

It’s hard to decrypt exactly what Diaz’s motivations were for sending out his message on social media. Is he feeling left out and under appreciated as McGregor gets back in the spotlight? Is he thinking about getting back in that spotlight himself with another fight booking?

No one can ever truly pinpoint what is going through the mind of a Diaz brother at any time, so make of it what you will.
