Nate Diaz calls on Conor McGregor and Joe Rogan to apologise to Stephen A Smith

Nate Diaz has called on Conor McGregor and Joe Rogan to apologise to Stephen A. Smith.

Smith said he was "disgusted" with Donald Cerrone's performance against McGregor in their recent UFC 246 bout in Las Vegas, claiming that Cowboy "gave up".

Those comments prompted a furious reply from McGregor.

The Notorious tweeted: "@stephenasmith @SandhuMMA @joerogan The call you discuss here is A+. I didn’t show enough.

"I’m not paid by the hour though.

"Joe’s comments however, come from you saying the opposition fighter quit.

"Broken nose/orbital bone say different. Fighting is vicious. Those who make the walk deserve full respect! Apologise."

And now Diaz, who McGregor could fight for a third time in his next bout, has weighed in on the debate.

He posted on Twitter: "Rogan and Conor should give Stephen Smith an apology. He said what it was.

"The fight was over before it started."

Meanwhile, Jorge Masvidal has claimed McGregor has "a lot of holes in his game".

He told The Rich Eisen Show: “My will, my size, my determination, mix in with I’m not a quitter, I’ve never tapped in my life.

“It’s a different type of dog over here. I’m too much man for him in every way that could possibly be said.

“If you don’t know too much about fighting, it might sound cocky, but a good football coach that’s seeing openings constantly, he goes, ‘Man, we can run the ball, we can throw it,’ all this craziness.”

“It’s just math to me, and when I see Conor, I see a lot of holes from a technical standpoint.

"If I’m a coach and I’m advising my athlete the best way to beat this guy, I see many math scenarios there.”
