Natasha Syme missing: Fears for teenager who may have been at Edinburgh Waverley

Searches are ongoing in a bid to trace a teenager missing from Prestonpans.

Police say 17-year-old Natasha Syme may have been in and around Edinburgh Waverley station at 3pm on Wednesday afternoon, and they want anyone who thinks they have may have seen her to come forward.

She hasn't been seen since leaving the Prestonpans area around midday yesterday (Wednesday). It is believed she travelled to Edinburgh, although she also has links to Markinch, Glenrothes and Cumbernauld.

Police describe Natasha as being white, around 5ft 3ins tall and of slim build with long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black, pink and blue Adidas top with blue jeans and white Nike trainers.

Inspector David Hughes said: “Our enquiries and searches to locate Natasha are continuing. She has previously travelled to the Markinch area of Fife and she also has links to the Glenrothes, and Cumbernauld areas. We are liaising with our colleagues in these areas as part of our ongoing enquiry.

“I would urge anyone who has seen Natasha, or who has any information on her whereabouts to contact Musselburgh Police Office through 101 with reference 1575 of 10 March.”
