Natalie Harp net worth: How much does Trump’s ‘biggest fan’ with an ‘unhealthy obsession’ with the 80-year-old president earn as White House aide?

Natalie Harp, a close aide to US President Donald Trump, has found herself at the center of a political clash between the White House and Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff, bringing renewed attention to her role, salary and personal finances.

Harp, 35, serves as an executive assistant to the president and is described as a constant presence around Trump, both at the White House and during trips to his golf properties. Her high-profile proximity to the president has attracted scrutiny after Ossoff highlighted their close working relationship during a rally on Sunday.

Ossoff, who is seeking re-election to the Senate in November and is viewed as a potential 2028 Democratic presidential contender, said of Trump: “He doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace, gifted by the emir of Qatar.”

Who is Natalie Harp?

Although relatively unknown to the wider public, Harp reportedly plays a significant role in Trump’s day-to-day operations. She is described as a gatekeeper who curates news articles, social media posts and messages that reach the president.

Harp came under greater scrutiny after reports that she was among a small group who accompanied Trump on a secret flight out of Turkey last month. Cabinet secretaries, senior advisers, military personnel and journalists were reportedly left traveling on another aircraft because of unspecified Iranian threats.

Her close proximity to Trump has previously been documented by The New York Times. The newspaper reported, citing several videos shared with the outlet, that Harp had sprinted across long distances to keep up with Trump’s golf cart as it moved around his course in Scotland.

In a letter to Trump that was viewed by the outlet, Harp wrote: “I also am sorry if I was an embarrassment walking the course in Scotland.”

She continued: “I want things to always be right between us. I also know I’ve been distracted all week (forgetting to eat throughout the days, and even forgetting to sleep, and only catching a couple hours at a time).”

The letter concluded: “With all my heart, Natalie.”

The New York Times has also described the unusually close working arrangement between Harp and Trump. According to the newspaper, she does not take regular days off, works out of the Oval Office, has a regular seat on Marine One, texts with world leaders on the president’s behalf and stays up late with Trump working on social media posts.

In the book “Regime Change,” New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan described Trump as telling people that Harp is the only person who loves him as much as his wife and children. Trump was also described as saying that while other staff members would eventually leave to make money, Harp would never leave him.

Natalie Harp salary and net worth

Harp receives an annual salary of $150,000, according to The New York Times. Her salary places her among highly paid White House staff members, although public information about her broader personal finances remains limited.

There is no reliable publicly available estimate of Natalie Harp’s total net worth. Financial disclosure records provide some information about her assets, but they do not establish a definitive net worth figure. ProPublica's records of Trump administration financial disclosures show that documents filed before her 2025 appointment listed assets with an estimated value ranging between $9,000 and $135,000.

Natalie Harp’s brother reaction

Natalie Harp’s estranged brother, Preston Harp, has reacted to the attention surrounding his 35-year-old sister’s unusually close relationship with President Donald Trump.

Speaking on CNN’s OutFront, Preston said his sister is Trump’s “biggest fan,” suggesting her strong admiration is one reason the president keeps her close.

Host Erin Burnett also mentioned a report alleging that Harp rode in the trunk of an SUV to stay close to Trump after there was no room for her in the vehicle.

Preston laughed and said he “didn’t even know about that.” “It’s actually kind of sad - that’s obsession,” he said. “That’s an unhealthy obsession with someone if you’re going to jump into the trunk of their car.”
