Natalia Grace hits out at adoptive parents' 'lies' and vows to tell her side

The story of Ukrainian orphan Natalia Grace has gripped television viewers this week as The Curious Case of Natalia Grace aired on ID.

The series, which ran over three nights, told the chilling story of the youngster who moved in with an American family, only for them to question her real age.

The Barnetts thought they had adopted a six-year-old child but later had her age legally changed by 14 years after "tell tale" signs she was much older than she had first said.

What following was a shocking turn of events in which the Barnetts claimed Natalia threatened to kill them before they abandoned her in her own home in Indiana when they moved to Canada.

Natalia, who has has denied all allegations thrown in her direction and has now vowed to tell her said of the story.

Now, in an exclusive clip of a new two-hour documentary titled The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks, she is heard saying: "This is my side of the story, and I'm going to say what happened because I never got a chance to say what happened."

She labelled the allegations "very frustrating", especially as she "wants to know who I am", saying she is "hearing all this stuff that never actually happened from Kristine and Michael".

The documentary is set to air later in the summer and Natalia says in the video: "The things that Kristine and Michael have said that I have done is a lie. I have never done anything that Kristine and Michael have said that I have done."

Michael and Kristine, who are now divorced, were charged with abandoning Natalia before Michael was found not guilty of three counts of neglect and conspiracy to commit neglect of a dependent in 2022. Earlier this year, charges against Kristine were also dropped.

In 2016, Natalia was adopted by a new couple, her current legal guardians Antwon Mans and Cynthia Mans. The couple also maintain she is a teenager.

In the latest clip, Natalia continued: "Y'all have heard Kristine and Michael and what they have said. But you need to hear both sides in order to hear what really happened."

The recent series stunned viewers online with online reaction torn as to who to believe. The latest show is sure to draw the attention once again as fans try to decipher who to believe.
