Nat Berhe still has love for the Giants

Safety Nat Berhe, who is hoping to re-sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers before the start of training camp, is one of many former members of the New York Giants currently floating around the league.

However, unlike so many of the other ex-Giants who repeatedly find ways to rip the team, Berhe has no ill-will. In fact, the 2014 fifth-round pick admits he’s got nothing but love for New York and his former teammates.

“Its pretty stressful but I wanted a change of scenery,” Berhe told 247 Sports about entering free agency in 2018. “I knew whatever was going to happen it was going to work out in my best interest. I just prayed about it all.

“I love those guys in NY,” he said. “Its unfortunate we couldn’t win more games but that wasn’t for a lack of ‘want to’ by anyone in the organization.”

There was substantial turnover during Berhe’s time and injuries prevented him from becoming the player he could have been, but his talent was still obvious for anyone to see.

In 38 career games with the Giants, Berhe recorded 47 tackles (35 solo), one pass defensed, one forced fumble and one sack.
