'Nasty' - Stoke City defender sends Bristol City message after dire form

Liam Lindsay has demanded Stoke City get more aggressive for the visit of Bristol City.

The Potters have been in poor form this season, taking just one point from six matches, whilst the Robins have made a positive start to the campaign.

It has meant pressure has heaped on Stoke manager Nathan Jones, but Lindsay says the players need to do more.

He told Stoke's website: "Defeats have been happening far too much and we need to cut them out.

"We need to come together as a group, be hard to beat, be aggressive, be nasty, and it all starts with clean sheets really.

"We have been performing ok, but not actually seeing games out, and we’ve been saying that too much.

"It’s getting really frustrating now, but it will happen, sooner rather than later.

"We’ve had an opportunity to get away from it all with the break, and sometimes it’s good to do that.

"We have since come back into training and it has to be seen as a new start for us now, a freshness to us, then we go from there.

"It’s down to us as players really - we need to take responsibility because it hasn’t been good enough."
