The Nashville school shooter appeared in a promotional video for her former college claiming it helped her to grow "as an artist".
Audrey Hale, 28, yesterday shot their way into The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee before killing six people including three children.
Hale, who was armed with two assault rifles and a pistol, was later gunned down by police.
Last year Hale, who it is understood was transgender, appeared in the Spring 2022 Senior Portfolio Show for Nossi College of Art in Nashville.
In the video which featured a number of students and was published on YouTube on July 18 2022, Hale says: "It's been hard. But it's also been an amazing experience when it comes to developing my creative talents and growing as an artist."
A profile of Hale found they lived with their parents and drew some disturbing illustrations.
A LinkedIn profile, that has since been deleted, said Hale started a freelance illustration and graphic design business after graduating from the college.
The profile also said Hale used 'he/him' pronouns. Hale also sometimes used the male name Aiden.
Police had initially described Hale as a transgender woman, but a police spokesperson has since told the Washington Post that Hale "is a biological woman who, on a social media profile, used male pronouns".
All six victims of the shooting have now been named.
The three children killed were Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney, all nine-years-old.
The adults killed were identified as Cynthia Peak, 61, a substitute teacher, Mike Hill, 61, a janitor, and Katherine Koonce, 60, who was the head of the school.
After searching Hale's house following the shooting, police found a detailed map of the school, including potential entry points, and evidence clearly done surveillance before the shooting.
Authorities also described Hale as a "lone zealot", who had written a manifesto ahead of the attack.
In the minutes before Hale shot through the school's glass doors, they messaged a friend on Instagram warning "something bad is about to happen".
The shooter told friend Averianna Patton "this is my last goodbye" as they explained she would soon be reading about their death "on the news".
“One day this will make more sense,” Hale wrote.
“I’ve left behind more than enough evidence behind. But something bad is about to happen.”
CCTV footage released by police showed Hale stalking the halls looking for victims armed with an assault rifle.
Authorities also released bodycam footage showing the moment police caught up with the shooter on the second floor of the school.
Hale was killed in a hail of bullets shot by police.
