Nashville school shooting leaves 'at least four dead' and others injured

It's been reported that at least four people have died and multiple others injured in a school shooting at St Paul Christian school in Nashville, Tennesee.

As reported by the Mirror, emergency services raced to the scene and according to police the shooter, who opened fire at Covenant School, Covenant Presbyterian Church, on Burton Hills Blvd, was killed.

The Nashville Fire Department alerted residents in a post on Twitter as they said: "We are responding to an active aggressor at 33 Burton Hills Blvd Covenant School.

"We can confirm we have multiple patients. Parents coming to the school should go to 20 Burton Hills at this time. This is an active scene."

WKRN reporter, Peyton Kennedy, reported that at least four people, including a shooter, have been killed.

She wrote on Twitter: "Officers are telling us at least four people, including a shooter, are dead at the Covenant School at 33 Burton Hills Blvd."

According to Scoop Nashville, all hospitals are on full alert for incoming and triage.

Authorities established a reunification area at 2100 Woodmont Blvd (Woodmont Baptist Church) for parents to meet their children who attend The Covenant School at 33 Burton Hills Blvd.

Metro Nashville Police Department said in a post on Twitter: "An active shooter event has taken place at Covenant School, Covenant Presbyterian Church, on Burton Hills Dr.

"The shooter was engaged by MNPD and is dead. Student reunification with parents is at Woodmont Baptist Church, 2100 Woodmont Blvd."
