The incident took place on Sunday at 4.30 pm and the deceased has been identified as Bhima Navsu Dagade, a resident of Bilvandi in Dindori taluka. Mumbai Naka police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating the matter.

Dagade was working on the sixth floor of the under-construction building at Rehnuma Nagar on Wadala Road in Nashik city. His job was to unload construction material from a crane set up parallel to the under-construction building. While at work, he came in contact with some exposed wire of the crane and due to the shock he fell from the sixth floor,” a police officer said.

Police Naik R B Shinde of Mumbai Naka police station, who is investigating the case, said people who rushed him to a private hospital said that he had suffered an electrical shock owing to which he fell down. “However, we will investigate the matter before coming a conclusion,” Shinde said.

Owing to the fall Dagade suffered injuries to his head and broken ribs. Despite being rushed to a private hospital in time, he was declared brought dead. “Though we have registered a case of accidental death, the matter will be investigated and if someone’s negligence has led to Dagade’s death, the person concerned would be booked on the charge of causing death due to negligence,” an officer from Mumbai Naka police station said.
