NASHIK: The Nashik police have externed a 45 year old woman from Nashik city owing to her continuous criminal activities in her locality.
The woman is identified as Bharati Sahebrao Ahire, resident of Bharati Row House, Jai Bhavani Road, Nashik Road.
Senior police officials said that the woman, with the help of her associates in crimes, was in the habit of cheating people, indulging in illegal activities, beating up innocent people, abusing them, trespassing the houses of people illegally, threatening them of registering false complaints against them, demanding extortion and putting people under fear.
In view of her criminal background DCP (Zone 2) Monica Raut as per the guidance of CP Ankush Shinde issued the orders of externing Bharati Ahire as per sections 56(1) (A) (B) of the Maharashtra Police Act.
ACB (Crime) Sitaram Kolhe said that on the guidance of CP Ankush Shinde, the city police are compiling data of people who are disturbing peace and social health of the city to take strict action against them. This year so far the Zone 2 police have externed 61 criminals from Nashik city and cases have been registered against 20 externed criminals who had sneaked into the city.
