Nashik food and drugs administration: No grocery sale at medical shops after 4pm

NASHIK: The Nashik Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) has warned the pharmacies against selling groceries after the 4pm deadline.

The move comes after the Nashik Dhanya Kirana Kirkol Vyapari Sanghatana — the association of retail grocery stores — brought it to the notice of district collector Suraj Mandhare through a memorandum saying people were getting supplies even in the night from such pharmacies.

Mahendra Patel, president of the association, said, “The pharmacies used to sell grocery items even after 4 pm deadline when all establishments engaged in such business shut down as per the restrictions under Level – 3 restrictions. The administration should immediately stop the same.” FDA assistant commissioners Suresh Deshmukh for Nashik city and CA More for Nashik Rural have therefore issued orders asking the medical shops to comply with the order.
