NASCAR drivers race golf carts in parallel parking contest

Between NASCAR race weekends at Talladega Superspeedway and Dover International Speedway, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. played in the Wells Fargo Championship Pro-Am at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte on Wednesday.

These guys play in an amateur but super serious golf tour with others from the NASCAR world — sometimes they golf during NASCAR weekends – so it’s no surprise they went to a local golf course between races.

They were paired with pro Harold Varner III, and even though they briefly traded their stock cars for golf carts, they still found a way to race – because of course. With Hamlin and Stenhouse in one cart and Larson and Varner in the other, these guys raced to see who could parallel park the fastest and the best.

The catch? Larson and Stenhouse were the drivers from the passenger seats, while Hamlin and Varner seemed to be in control of the gas and brake.

It’s pretty unclear who won exactly.

Hamlin and Stenhouse technically got in a spot first, but it wasn’t a perfect job and Hamlin even got out to try and drag/carry the cart so it would fit properly. Meanwhile, Larson and Varner got in their spot second, but they maybe did a better job.

Needless to say, everyone should probably stick to their day jobs.
