NASCAR 25: Paint Booth Guide

After years of silence, iRacing Studios has cooked something special for NASCAR fans. NASCAR 25 is arguably the most exciting entry in the genre, delivering almost everything that an average enthusiast expects from a video game.

It’s neither a full-blown simulator nor a gimmicky arcade racer, but rather a sweet spot between both. Featuring various elements deeply associated with the sport, NASCAR 25 truly shines with its all-new paint booth.

Don’t get me wrong, the overall physics, mechanics, and wear-and-tear is as good as it gets, but the ability to deeply personalize, let alone a NASCAR, is something entirely out of the box. The paint booth is worth praising, and for those who want to turn heads around the race track with creativity, here’s what they can expect.

NASCAR 25 Paint Booth: Team Customization

Apart from vehicles, NASCAR 25 goes beyond and allows you to customize your team, driver suit, and helmet. Here’s what the game offers to alter your crew’s identity cosmetically.

Team Color

The most notable change you can make to your team is the primary color. NASCAR 25 offers a ton of color choices. Whether you want to evoke aggressive emotions or convey a meaningful message, there’s a color for everything.

Car Number

Following team color, the game allows you to slap on a different car number. However, players can’t always choose their desired digit from 0 to 99, as some numbers are weirdly absent from the booth. Upon selecting, you can mould it to your vibe with plenty of font styles, fill color, outline, and offset, helping it pop the way you please.

Sponsors

Sponsors are the bread and butter for any sports team to survive. Inside the paint booth, players have a couple of sponsor choices to showcase on their ride. You can slap on an iRacing white wordmark, iRacing Arcade, NASCAR 25 alternative logo, and some other backers.

Car customization is where you’ll be spending a lot of time. While it’s nowhere near Need For Speed level, it’s still enough and provides an in-depth graphics personalization.

Style

The first menu you’ll come across in car customization is the Style. Here, you can expect a wide selection of ready-made liveries that can be customized to match your unique style.

  • Style slider: Cranking this slider gives you unique livery choices for the car.
  • Primary: You can set any dominant color, body pattern, and alter its intensity.
  • Secondary: Same as primary, fill a different color, slap on a unique pattern, and control its intensity.
  • Accent: This changes the accents of your artwork with a new color or a pattern, quite similar to the Primary and Secondary options.
  • Copy To: With your design finalized, this option allows you to copy it to the team, driver, and the suit.
  • Rim Color: To keep up with the theme, you can change the color of your wheels.
  • Side Skirts slider: This slider helps you choose between painted or non-painted side skirts, which is helpful if your design is dark and conceals the NASCAR’s lower body.

Shapes

To further complement the design, you can add different shapes to the left, right, front, back, and top of the car. From circles and squares to flashy gradients and dot-work, players have various options to select here. Additionally, changing position, rotation, scale, and color is also possible, so it’s easy to personalize every element according to the picture in your mind.

Decals

A NASCAR without decals is like a pizza without toppings. The paint booth ensures you go crazy with decals by offering plenty of choices. Here are some of the highlights:

  • HELLMANN’S
  • Castrol
  • Holley
  • Grillo’s Pickles
  • WeatherTech

There are a total of 47 decals in NASCAR 25, and just like shapes, it’s possible to change their location, size, and rotation.

Numbers

Your chosen team number doesn’t stick to a specific spot and can be altered further in the car customization. It’s possible to drag it to a different location, adjust its size, and choose a unique style.

Color Decals

The color of the decals installed can’t be changed directly from the Decals section; instead, it has a separate menu. Upon reaching, you’ll have a list of every decal placed on the NASCAR’s body. Here, you can change the color of any sticker, but keep in mind that it will only allow a few options from the official sources. Painting anything other than the original isn’t possible.

Driver Suit & Helmet Customization

Team and car remain the core highlights of the gameplay as they generally get more screentime. Most of the players customize these two aspects and call it a day. However, in NASCAR 25, personalizing the suit and helmet is just as deep. Here’s a table that compares their modifiability to elements we discussed above.

Customization Team Car Suit Helmet

Finally, our paint booth tour comes to an end. Judging by all the tools, it’s safe to say that recreating anything from your NASCAR fantasy is possible in NASCAR 25.
