NASCAR 25 Gets a Quick Stability Fix: Series Champion Trophies and Multiplayer Crash Addressed

Racing fans playing the newly-launched NASCAR 25 got a bit of relief today as developer iRacing Studios released a small (but meaningful) patch to smooth out two lingering issues in the game.

The patch tackles two key problems:

  • The “Series Champion” trophies/achievements in Career mode were not being awarded reliably. Some players reported winning their series but not unlocking the recognition. The update says this has now been fixed.
  • A persistent crash affecting Online Multiplayer has been addressed. While the patch notes don’t elaborate on platform-specifics, players should see fewer disruptions when hosting or joining lobby sessions.

While the update may not be sweeping or add major new features, it shows the developers are responsive. For many players, earning achievements and having stable multiplayer are foundational, as they help keep the experience polished and the community engaged. Fixing trophies/achievements help satisfy the completionist mindset, plus placates players who have already won an important accolade in the Career mode save. Stabilizing online play supports the competitive and social side of the game, even if playing online has been mostly a disaster since launch.

Players should now be able to complete a series in Career mode and reliably receive the “Series Champion” trophy. If you previously won a series and didn’t get the trophy, it may be worth revisiting or checking for retroactive unlocks. On the multiplayer front, you should experience fewer crashes when setting up or joining races. However, as with all online patches, some edge-cases may remain, especially across platforms or with specific configurations.

It’s still early days for NASCAR 25, so larger, more significant changes may still be coming. It’s also the first triple-A NASCAR-licensed game to come out in four years — the last being 2021’s NASCAR 21: Ignition — so most gamers have been rather forgiving with some of its more trivial shortcomings. We’re currently doing a review on it, so expect that to be released early next week.
