NASCAR 25: Best Career Mode Settings

Players are already burning rubber in NASCAR 25, and early impressions have been solid so far. The game offers various modes to play through, and for people who want to treat this as a game that they play after a long day of work, Career Mode is a good choice. It gives you the chance to build your own story, starting completely from scratch.

However, there are a few things that can hamper your experience. If you’re concerned about the driving not feeling like real racing, changing the default settings is a good start. Finding custom fine-tuned settings that work for you can make the experience much more enjoyable. Fortunately, you won’t have to waste time tinkering with sliders. Here are the best Career Mode settings for Nascar 25

Career Mode Session & Core Gameplay

The settings are divided into different sections, and each has its own important role. Each player has their own preference, whether they want to lean towards realism or pure chaos; these settings are a perfect balance for both.

Gameplay Settings:

  • Difficulty Preset: Advanced
  • Transmission: Manual (recommended for greater control)
  • Brake Smoothing: Off (can be turned to low to help stabilize the car under braking, but the car is stable enough)

Career Settings:

  • Damage: Full Damage (recommended for a realistic experience)
  • Race length: 13% (Leave this at default if you don’t mind longer races)
  • Tire Wear / Fuel Consumption: Normal
  • Player Tire Wear Rate: Normal
  • Grip Fall Off: normal (this relates to tire wear, and normal is a balanced choice)
  • Yellow Flags: Strict or relaxed (very minimal difference in both)
  • Stages: Multiple Stages (running the default three stages)

Driving Settings:

  • In the Driving settings tab, you just want to turn all the assist settings off. Not because it makes the game harder (though it does), but because it gives you more manual control. I recommend at least considering this, especially if you’re already using custom steering wheel settings

AI Fine Tuning

Another aspect of the game that really defines your NASCAR 25 Career Mode experience is the AI opponents. As the opponents that you race against in Career mode are all AI rather than actual players, it can get a little repetitive and boring.

The settings you adjust to improve the AI racing require slight adjustments depending on different tracks. Go to the “AI” settings and apply the recommended settings below.

  • AI difficulty: 105 (super speedways) & 102 (other tracks)
  • Skill Range: 0 (super speedways) & 30 (other tracks)

105 AI difficulty is only recommended for tracks like Daytona, Talladega, and Atlanta. A skill range of 30 is recommended for a more realistic speed range, as different cars have different specs.

  • Stability: 0 (makes AI car likely to spin out if they drive aggressively)
  • Recovery Skill: 10 (AI can attempt a save, but it is difficult)
  • Consistency: 60 (feels like racing against real players)
  • Incident Frequency: 30 (occasional incidents every few laps)
  • Impact forces: 100 (how much your car is affected after contact)

The above settings affect the racing behaviour of the AI, and the final AI settings affect how the AI manages its resources.

  • Tire Wear Effect: 30 (ensures AI remains competitive on long runs)
  • Fuel Consumption: 50-60

Extra Settings

Besides the main Career Mode settings and the AI settings, there are a few other things to take note of. By going to the “Controls” setting, make sure to set the vibration to 100 to get a more realistic driving experience.

The last change will be to go to the “Driving” setting and change the draft settings.

  • Super Speedways: 50 (for a more wild and high adrenaline experience) & 5-15 (for a legitimate driving experience)

Apply the same changes to the other tracks, too.
