NASCAR 25 is finally out, and the majority of the players seem to be enjoying the physics, customization, and online competitiveness. This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as iRacing is one of the best racing sims, and the same developers worked on NASCAR 25. To keep the ball rolling, we already have an update out that fixes many day-one issues.
Nascar 25 First Update Patch Notes

As of writing this, only the Gold Edition players are hitting the track, and everyone who bought the standard edition will be able to jump in on October 14th. It’s good that the developers are already fixing issues so that players have a good experience on launch.
The Patch for PS5 features updates that address the following:
- Force Feedback Improvement for Wheels
- Crash Fix: Paint Kit
- Fix for cautions on the last lap. Race ends instead of GWC
- Fix to ghost player car immediately when cutting track in Online Races
- Other minor fixes and improvements
An Xbox update was also released recently, and the patch notes are as follows:
- Fixed 100% Achievement not unlocking.
- Fixed inactive career series’ cars getting worn if not selected in Career.
- Fixed a rare Online lobby crash.
- Fix for lap time online lobby start position display being incorrect.
- Other fixes and enhancements.
PC players will have to wait a little while longer, as the official release date on Steam is November 11. Other than these fixes, it looks like the developers will have their hands full, as their Discord is blowing up with suggestions and bug reports. The online mode seems to need some work, as open public lobbies turn into chaos very quickly.
Of course, this also may stem from the fact that just about everyone is in the same class right now. In a few weeks, this might improve on its own. Some players are still reporting force feedback issues with the Logitech G29 wheel, so this is another thing that might get addressed in a different update. For now, it’s good that iRacing is at the very least addressing issues quickly.
