Narbonne (Los Angeles) High School linebacker Jordan Banks decides on Arizona State

Jordan Banks, a four-star linebacker from California, is Arizona State football’s latest commitment in its 2020 recruiting class.

Banks, 6-1, 228 pounds, announced his decision Friday via social media.

Banks plays for Narbonne High School in Harbor City, Calif. His other offers included Alabama, Oklahoma, Washington and Auburn.

He will be joining a position group of ASU coached by recruiting coordinator Antonio Pierce that includes Darien Butler, who also attended Narbonne, and Merlin Robertson, 2018 Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year.

Banks is the third four-star commitment in ASU’s 2020 class. Others are wide receiver Chad Johnson and running back DeaMonte Trayanum.

ASU has 17 known 2020 commitments and its class currently is ranked No. 37 nationally (fourth Pac-12) by 247 Sports.
