Napthens quadruples Liverpool footprint with office move as firm announces new hires and clients

A North West law firm has quadrupled its Liverpool footprint with an office move - as well as announcing a spate of new senior appointments and client wins.

Napthens has moved to the sixth floor of The Plaza on Old Hall Street - an office providing new meeting rooms and accommodation for up to 30 staff.

To coincide with its move, the firm, which also has offices in Preston, Blackburn, Kendal and Southport, has made several new appointments, including two additions to its employment team.

Specialising in education law, including safeguarding and exclusions, Suzanne Mainwaring has been appointed as a senior associate following more than 11 years with Hill Dickinson locally.

Chris Hayes has also joined as a senior associate from MSB Solicitors where he headed the employment team.

An active member of the Liverpool Law Society’s Employment Law sub-committee, he acts for a broad range of organisations, from small owner-managed-businesses through to well established SMEs, on the full spectrum of employment law and HR related issues.

Gareth McIntegart, head of Napthens’ Liverpool office, said: "Liverpool City Region remains a key part of Napthens’ future growth plans and we’re excited to be making this further commitment to that plan.

"Since launching the office, we’ve worked hard to further strengthen relationships and embed ourselves into the local community and, with a growing client portfolio, we are capitalising on almost 100 years of collective experience amassed by the team working in the city.

"The new space is fantastic and we’re encouraged by the feedback that we’ve had so far. I’m sure Chris and Suzanne will feel right at home and we look forward to seeing what they can achieve."

Led by Gareth McIntegart, the new hires increase Napthens’ Liverpool presence to a team of 12.

Since opening its doors in the city in 2018, the firm said it has "quickly developed" its regional client base, and now works with the likes of Abbey Logistics Group, Joloda Hydraroll, Applied Nutrition, Heritage Great Britain, Elitetele.com, National Museums Liverpool, and Ludlow Wealth Management amongst others.

Ms Mainwaring said: "Napthens is a really ambitious firm that has been making waves in Liverpool over the past three years.

"It has built a highly specialised team and this new office is the firm’s latest statement of intent. Napthens is a firm that truly understands the importance of relationships and I’m excited at the prospect of a new challenge.”
